I can be intense. But for the most part, my favorite hobby isn’t intense at all. It’s standing still, being quiet, casting, reeling in, over and over again. But the moment a fish bites, that calmness and repetition is gone. No matter how many fish you’ve caught, it’s a rush. You immediately have to react to the fish on the line. I think that’s what I’ve learned from fishing. Things can be calm or redundant, but you’ve got to be prepared when things get exciting.
