Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to accessibility

Fieldtrip is committed to providing a website that is accessible and usable by the broadest possible audience, including people with disabilities.

We believe accessibility should be considered as part of the design and development of a website itself, not treated as an add-on or addressed only through automated tools. Our goal is to create and maintain an experience that follows established accessibility standards and works effectively with a wide range of browsers, devices, keyboards, screen readers, and other assistive technologies.

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at the AA level.

Our approach

Accessibility is considered throughout the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of this website.

Our development practices may include:

  • Using semantic HTML and logical content structure
  • Providing clear and consistent heading hierarchies
  • Supporting keyboard navigation throughout the website
  • Maintaining visible keyboard focus states
  • Providing sufficient color contrast
  • Associating form fields with appropriate labels and instructions
  • Providing meaningful alternative text for informative images
  • Ensuring interactive controls have clear and understandable names
  • Using ARIA attributes when they are appropriate and necessary
  • Supporting text resizing, zoom, and responsive layouts
  • Avoiding unnecessary motion, flashing, or other content that may create accessibility barriers
  • Building navigation and interactive components with accessibility in mind

Where possible, accessibility issues are addressed directly within the website’s design, content, and source code.

Testing and ongoing improvement

Accessibility is an ongoing process.

We use a combination of development standards, automated accessibility testing, and manual review to identify and address potential barriers. Manual testing may include keyboard navigation, content structure, focus behavior, form interactions, and common assistive-technology use cases.

Automated testing is helpful for identifying certain accessibility issues, but no automated tool can identify every possible barrier. For this reason, we do not rely on automated testing or remediation alone.

As the website changes over time, we continue to evaluate accessibility and make improvements where practical.

Supplemental accessibility tools

In addition to the accessibility practices built directly into the website, we provide an optional accessibility interface powered by accessiBe.

This tool provides additional customization options that some visitors may find helpful, including adjustments to:

  • Text size and spacing
  • Color and contrast
  • Visual emphasis
  • Animations and motion
  • Cursor appearance
  • Focus and content highlighting
  • Other display and usability preferences

The service may also provide supplemental adjustments intended to support certain keyboard and assistive-technology interactions.

We consider this tool an additional layer of support. We do not rely on it as a substitute for accessible design, development, testing, or remediation within the website itself.

Visitors are not required to use the accessibility interface in order to use the website.

Assistive technologies and browser compatibility

We work to support current versions of commonly used browsers and assistive technologies, including screen readers, keyboard navigation, browser zoom, and other accessibility features provided by users’ devices and operating systems.

Because browsers, assistive technologies, devices, third-party integrations, and website content continually change, individual experiences may vary.

Third-party content

Some portions of the website may include content, tools, documents, videos, embedded services, or other functionality provided by third parties.

While we work to choose and implement third-party services responsibly, we may not always have full control over the accessibility of those services.

If you encounter an accessibility issue involving third-party content, we encourage you to contact us so we can investigate the issue and determine what options may be available.

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some content or functionality may not yet fully meet our accessibility goals.

There may also be situations where a technological limitation, third-party service, legacy content, or newly introduced feature creates an accessibility barrier that has not yet been identified or resolved.

We view accessibility as an ongoing responsibility and will continue working to identify, prioritize, and address issues as they arise.

Feedback and accessibility assistance

We welcome feedback from people who experience accessibility barriers on our website.

If you have difficulty accessing any part of the site, notice an accessibility issue, or need assistance accessing information or functionality, please contact us.

Email: hello@wearefieldtrip.com

When possible, please include the page or feature you were using and a brief description of the issue you encountered. This information can help us investigate and address the problem more effectively.

We will make reasonable efforts to review accessibility concerns and improve the experience for our visitors.
